Downspout, Yard, and Gutter Drain Pop-Up Emitters

The primary cause of flooded basements and failed buried downspouts is the growth of grass over the discharge area. To address this issue, we developed the turf restrictor plate, which allows grass to grow on top of the 11.5-inch plate without impeding the lid's opening and water flow.

The kit includes the following components: FDM's Turf Restrictor Plate with Pop-Up Door, a 90-degree elbow, FDM's HDPE Coupler for easy connection to 4-inch corrugated pipe, and FDM's 4-inch Riser.

One of the key features of this product is the MASSIVE 4-INCH OPENING. The large opening with a hinged lid allows large debris, such as pine cones and sticks, to flow out. The opening is the same diameter as the pipe, and users can also reach their hand down into the drain if needed.

The design of the pop-up emitter is engineered to STOP GRASS FROM CLOGGING THE DRAIN. Even if grass tries to grow over the pop-up emitter, the 11.5-inch turf restrictor plate will prevent the grass from covering the discharge area. The grass and other vegetation will grow over the edge of the turf restrictor plate, not the drain itself.

This product is designed for LOW MAINTENANCE. After a heavy downpour, the water will push out any debris from the drain line. The larger opening allows homeowners to easily reach in and clean out any remaining pine cones, sticks, or other debris.

The POP-UP DRAINAGE EMITTER is constructed with SHATTER-PROOF MATERIAL, ensuring that it will be the last one you need to purchase. It is made of 100% HDPE with no recycled materials or fillers, making it durable and resistant to lawnmowers. The lid is heavy enough to prevent it from being sucked up by the mower, yet water can easily flow through the 4-inch opening.

The product is also CUSTOMIZABLE. The pop-up lid can be easily removed and replaced with any 4-inch drain grate, making it a versatile tool for various applications, such as a four-inch inlet, vent pipe, or outlet, with a turf restrictor around it. This makes it a fantastic product for contractors to keep in their tool trailers or work trucks, as it can be used in many different scenarios.

Finally, the product is FULLY ASSEMBLED and measures approximately 9.5 inches tall when fully assembled with the riser.
